When shopping for a Dishwasher we wanted the quietest one we could find, followed by top of the line features. In a pandemic, it was hard to find, as mostly middle of the road dishwashers were getting produced. We first bought a Miele top of the line dishwasher because it was supposed to be everything anyone wanted... but after 6 months of non-stop repairs and the loudest 38db machine you've ever heard, we gave up on it and found this Bosch... the dishwasher we wanted in the first place. It's so quiet. And if you haven't experienced a lit interior, trust me, it's worth it. The bottom two racks are roomy for most things, though we wish it had a bottle holder like some other high or even middle-of-the-road dishwashers. The top rack on the upgraded Bosch dishwashers we actually feel is inferior to the cutlery rack provided in the 500 series. We bought that rack for $50 from Bosch, and while it's good, other brands do have Bosch beat. The Zeolite drying is decent, but not as good as advertised, however, still better than most. The Miele did dry better with the auto-opening door. But if you load your dishes properly, they will be mostly dry, even the plastics. At the end of the day, quiet and clean is the name of the game and Bosch is definitely the best in both of those areas. So if you're looking at $3,000 dishwashers, save yourself the hassle and get a Bosch Benchmark. You'll love the lights, roominess, cleanliness and the lack of noise!

I do not recommend buying this dishwasher. It always has a funky smell. I've had ABW appliance come out twice and they can't find the issue. When you call Bosch, they tell you to call the place where you bought it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This dishwasher has been nothing but trouble. Here is an incomplete list of problems we've had.
1. In the first week the insulation, literally, slid out of the bottom of the unit on onto the floor.
2. The third rack has a wire grid that is spaced too far apart and things frequently fall out of it (this is especially bad when you are talking about knives).
3. The bottom rack has weirdly spaced tines that don't allow you to put in bowls.
4. The volume is much louder than the 40 decibels listed (this could be because our installation had to be reinstalled.
5. It is tough to tell when the unit is on. There is a little red light, but we frequently open the diswasher without thinking.
6. Simple functions like turning the dishwasher on requires multiple steps.
7. The Crystal Dry function is worthless or doesn't work on our unit.

This is the second Bosch dishwasher in our family. Although only four years newer than our first, it's a leap forward, especially in terms of its speed and efficiency. The 30 minute and 1 hour cycles are especially impressive, as is the wifi functionality and--of course--the whisper quiet operation. Truly a family heirloom to be enjoyed for decades, not years.

We love our new Bosch dishwasher. It is so quiet that we only know it is running by seeing the red light at the bottom. Our dishes and silverware come out sparkling clean. In addition to working really well, it also looks great in our kitchen.

We replaced our 20YO Bosch dishwasher with the current model. We are very pleased with the performance and the appearance of the new dishwasher. It is so quiet that we called customer support to ask for advice onhow to start it. The rep asked if a red light at the bottom right side of the door was on. It was! And we were surprised to find that it was running , but we couldn't hear it. We live in a "hard water" area, so the built in water softner is a great addition for us. We are very happy with this dishwasher and would certainly buy it again.

My last Bosch dishwasher had to be replaced after many years of service so I decided on this "Benchmark" model and could not be more pleased! The unit is even quieter than the last Bosch and the dishes including plastic ware dry extremely well. I have found that our glassware which used to come out cloudy over the years now sparkles and is as clear as ever. The water softener feature helps with the cleaning to the point where pots and pans that I would've been happy with getting 80% clean, come out almost like new. The only issue I have is the dish rack loading directions make it a challenge sometimes to get large casserole dishes to fit alongside dishware etc. but all told it cleans like a PRO!

I love the performance of this dishwasher, but have been confounded more than a few times as to whether or not the program is actually working. If I set the program and open the door to add a few extra items, my wife and I are never sure if the program is set and have come down in the morning to find dirty dishes. I'm sure it's user error, but we are use to a much more simple menu under these conditions.
The recycled heat function was a big selling point for us and it has proven to be super effective in drying the dishes. Was a bit disappointed that I had to buy a full silverware rack, but the new rack came quickly and fit right in with no hassle.
Bottom line: Love the dishwasher and once I work out the menu issues, I'm sure it'll be a no stress appliance.

When looking for a dishwasher, I was looking for one with built-in water softening. Our previous appliances became severely disabled because of mineral build-up. I visited an appliance shop near me and asked about this feature. "Bosch" was the reply. It had some worthy features worth consideration as well as some gimicky ones as well. I mean, who needs a WiFi connected dishwasher? More on that later.
Once we put the unit into use, I've been very happy with the performance. Every dish or item I put in it gets clean. The plastic dries and no deposits anywhere. No matter which rack I use, everything comes out perfect. The only problem we had was determining if the dishes were done or not. Some family members would open the door but not restart it. But because we have the hidden controls, we couldn't see the status; except for the red dot on the ground, which helps but still not understood by the family. But the App tells me that the dishwasher needs attention when I check status. That's how I know for certain. I also get alerted when the cycle is complete. That is another app feature that I appreciate. Not a big deal, but it is convenient.
We usually run automatic mode and we just load the dishes in a reasonable way. The app tells if you need to add salt to the softener or jetdry. The app will even keep track of the number of detergent tablets you have. I haven't implemented that yet, but only because I didn't initiate it when I opened the detergent package.
So with only one month of use, absolutely no complaints. In the time we've had it, other people have mentioned they have a Bosch Dishwasher and they love them. So I'm hoping for a continued excellent user experience.

The dishwasher cleans the dishes perfectly. It is quiet. Internal light is helpful as is top rack.
A detailed operating manual is not provided: only a summary. Bosch expects consumers to print a 50 page document off internet PDF. For a product that costs 2-3 times the average dishwasher, Bosch can easily afford to include the detailed operating manual with the dishwasher. The purchaser expects such information. I had problems getting it to run until I read the manual about shutting the door within 4 seconds of pressing the start button.
