I've been extremely happy with my Bosch dishwasher. We've upgraded to this model since goodbye to last Bosch after 15 years. It is incredibly efficient and have made daily chores much easier while helping save water and energy. They operate surprisingly quietly, so they can run without disrupting conversations or sleep, even during the evening.
One of the standout features is the wide variety of settings available. Whether I need a quick wash, a heavy-duty cycle, a delicate option, or an eco-friendly program, there's a setting that fits the task perfectly. The dishwasher consistently leaves dishes spotless.
Overall, this appliance combine performance, convenience, and flexibility exceptionally well. Their quiet operation, energy efficiency, and multiple customizable settings make them a fantastic addition to any home, and I would highly recommend them.

I've had my Bosch Benchmark dishwasher for a week now. And I'm quite annoyed that after it finishes, the light turns off and there is no indication that the wash completed successfully. Yes, I know I can check the app to confirm, but this is annoying to have to reach for my phone when my previous dishwasher simply had an LED that stayed lit to confirm the wash completed properly. Every day I use the dishwasher I'm reminded that Bosch would somehow rather save a tiny tiny amount of energy to shut the dishwasher totally off than leave a little LED lit to confirm that the wash completed. I have kids, and they need to know whether the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or dirty. Without this signal, it makes this harder than it should be. I'm all for saving energy and saving the planet, but not having a "successful completion LED" was a bad engineering decision. Next time, I will be more careful to buy a dishwasher with that feature.

We really love the quietness and efficiency of our new dishwasher. Dishes come out sparkling clean and the sanitize feature makes sure they are dry. Our other dishwasher used to try to drown out the TV.

Just an incredible dishwasher. My dishes haven't been this clean, sparkly, or dry in years. Replaced the old dishwasher with the Benchmark and started having fun doing dishes with the first load. Bosch is a must have for any kitchen.

Great dishwasher. I wish it had a 'clean' indicator light that stayed on until it was opened because we usually run overnight and the notification to my phone is gone. Other than that it is perfect.

Best dishwasher I've owned in 50 years, in several respects: absolutely quiet in our small home - hardly know it's running; no more scraping skillets before washing - Bosch gets them totally clean; drinking glasses that previously finished with water spots are now dry and crystal clear; and the roomy 3-tiers and adjustable racks allow us to clean all party dishes in one cycle rather than two. The run cycle is considerably lengthy, but I consider that acceptable for these results. Thank you for an excellent product that I hope will last the remainder of my life!

Our last dishwasher was also a Bosch, installed over 15 years ago. I was shocked (though I obviously shouldn't have been) to see that the water and electrical hookups had moved completely, making the install much more complicated for me. On the other hand, the newer leveling procedure is much nicer.
Of course, we're still just getting used to it, but I fully expect this new Benchmark version to last at least as long as the old "800" model did, and be just as easy to live with. (Full disclosure, the old one would still be running fine if "someone" hadn't taken a tumble on the open door!) So far, my only quibble (and it's a large one) is that the Delay Start button has been moved to ONLY the app and is no longer on the control panel. At least let it be part of your Favorites settings! Our default has been to set a 2 hour delay when we start the dishwasher, but I doubt I'll be willing to use the app just to do that. I LOVE the new interior lighting!

After it was installed yesterday, I discovered you have to use an app for all changes to the panel. Delay is not on the panel, only available on app. No rinse and hold, etc. Now I have to find my phone just to turn on my dishwasher. I am very frustrated! I will continue after I get the full usage

Two things could be improved.
1) the top drawer (silverware) handle does not stay attached. I had to glue it in place. Not sure why it needs to be Removable.
2) the door feels cheep because it's a little flexible. Seems it could be made stronger.
I still think it washed dishes 10/10 and love the way the racks are oriented and how smooth they roll.

This has to be the Best Dishwasher I have ever Seen! It is Super Fast and so quiet that I can Sleep Peacefully next to it. The racks are So easy to move back and forth, raise up and down with so much room that I could easily wash aall of my Dishes at once! That's why I call it a Super Washer!

Just had this dishwasher installed and it performs great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is you can hear it running if your very close to the machine. My last two Bosch dishwashers I couldn't hear them if i was standing right in front of them. I'd recommend this machine to anyone with no hesitation what so ever. Dishes come out clean and dry.

Our dishwasher is only 5 years old and I got the e07 error code. After a lot of YouTubing watching I realized the Crystal dry compartment was filling with water and had to vacuum up the water. I called Bosch customer service and asked if there was anything I could do myself as it was clear this problem was extremely common due to the heat of the crystal dry causing a crack or even a hole in the fill tube resulting in water spraying in to the crystal dry compartment. They said no you can't do it yourself and you need a Bosch technician to come. Asking how much that would cost, they said $179 call out fee and $25 every 6 minutes! And then laughed at me when I called out the extortionate cost! So I went back to AI and got the part number, entered it in Amazon and th new fill tube got delivered the next day for $50. Replaced it myself very easily and it even came with a plastic cover, which means Bosch knows about this design fault and it will hopefully not happen again.
So, if you get e07 code, just check for cracks in the fill tube and replace it yourself before you waste time and money on calling and getting a technician over or even getting a new machine.
Otherwise, I'm happy with this dishwasher. You can fit a lot of dishes in it, it's quiet and cleans well.

The shelves have a leanring curve but once you're there, this thing is next level. Cleans all stuck food, dries crystal clear. Insanely quiet.
I'm still not sure the premium I paid for the benchmark vs the 800 was worth it, but I am happy with how much cleaner my dishes are now.
I'm a little nervous about the door. The latch sounds and feels cheap. Hopefully I'm wrong.

The app is great and add more funtionality. Wish that you could use the controls for a rinse cycle instead of app only. Very nice to have a soft water dispenser built into the unit along with low level warnings. The LED lights are very nice to have. Overall, the best dishwasher that I have every owned.

In March 2026 I had to replace my dishwasher which was less than 5 years old. I did extensive research and made the decision to purchase the BOSCH BENCHMARK DISHWASHER model SHP9PCM5N. It has been wonderful. It is so quiet that you can stand next to it and not know it is running. Everything is squeaky clean, no bending over to put silverware in a big basket, and you can put plastic containers in the lower level without fear of melting. I wish I had purchased it 5 years ago!

Have had the dishwasher for about a month and have had a chance to use it enough to give an honest review. While the machine is on I have found myself checking to see if it was running because it is so quiet. We do not always rinse dishes before going in the dishwasher and have found a thorough cleaning is done either way. Very pleased. One item is the bottom rack may come off its track if not loaded properly. No big inconvenience.

Love the dishwasher. It cleans well, it dries well (when used correctly with the drying fluid).
My one complaint is that delay wash and machine cleaning cycle are both only available through the app. No way to activate those functions outside of the app.

The control panel buttons aren't as sensitive as they should be and the power and start/resume buttons don't illuminate when pressed leaving the user not knowing if the dishwasher has actually received the command.

I'm happy with my new Bosch dishwasher. With all the options the adjustable racks and moveable tines create I'm still finding new ways to fit items in it. I especially like that the top, 3rd rack, can hold a variety of small items and utensils. But, most of all, my new Bosch quietly and efficiently gets everything I put in it clean and spotless. It's a great improvement to my kitchen routine.

I don't usually write reviews, but this experience deserves one.
Our Bosch dishwasher failed completely after just 11 months, and it's now totally unresponsive. For something at this price point, that's already hard to justify, and it only went downhill from there.
We had a Bosch technician out three separate times, and each visit meant waiting about a week for parts, then another two weeks just to get him back out. This dragged on for over two months. In the end, he admitted there was nothing more he could do and said these units are largely made with cheap plastic components that they don't usually keep in stock, which honestly explains a lot.
At the same time, dealing with Bosch warranty support was even more frustrating. I had registered the product within 30 days of purchase and already uploaded my Costco receipt as part of the process, then I provided it again when asked as part of this process. They refused to accept the invoice directly from Costco's site and told me I needed to go back to Costco for "proof of purchase." When I sent the exact proof of purchase Costco emailed me, they claimed it looked like something I created in Word and implied I was trying to pass off a forgery. That was honestly the most insulting part of this whole process.
Even when it worked, the dishwasher was average at best, nowhere near worth the premium price. The bigger issue is the complete lack of respect for your time. Between the delays, the runaround, and the way this was handled, this was easily one of the most frustrating product experiences I've had.
Bosch has lost a customer for life. I would strongly recommend staying away.

we bought this during our kitchen upgrade and could not be happier. it quiet and effecient. the only two things we dont like is 1. The app a bit hard to use but im 68 and not a techie and the controls are hidden by the counter top and must be pushed before closing the door

Had this dishwasher just over 3 months.. it didn't dry dishes very well but I liked the look of it and it got the dishes clean. Just after 3 months.. there was an internal crack! It has been 10 days and Bosch still hasn't shipped the part. This is my second Bosch and will be my last! Bad customer service bad machinery

So far so good! We have had the dishwasher for 2 months and use it 2-3 times a week. We have very hard water so this machine fits the bill with the built-in water softener. Our old machine left the dishes spotty so we just hand washed them so we could towel dry them quickly. This machine is so quiet you don't even know it is running! There is quite the learning curve and it doesn't come with a preprinted manual although you can ( and should) download and print a copy to have on hand. Also I have found that sometimes just googling an issue will give you answers. Some things though, aren't spelled out very Cleary and this is the reason for the 4 stars. That and the fact that a call to Bosch customer service proved not fruitful. The girl I spoke with was not helpful at all. I eventually figured out what was happening. My issue was with the cycle setting. Ii assumed that if you ran a cycle on "Normal" that would show the next time you wanted to run another load, but it kept reverting to "Auto". Well that was where it was programmed in the HOME Connect app. Once I changed it in the app, it now always goes back to the "Normal" cycle. I couldn't find this explained anywhere. The app, I feel, is also cumbersome,, especially for a non techy person. All in all I am happy with this purchase.

I love the light inside (I did not have one before), it is ultra quiet. But even though I love this dishwasher...there could be a few enhancements. The silverware basket at the bottom needs to be bigger as well as the openings in the basket while leaving he back row of tines up in the dishwasher. Additionally, you should be able to delay the start from the control panel vs having to use the app....I dont mind using the app (infact I like the app) but I am the only one in my family who has the app and they cannot set the dishwasher to delay start

I love the design of this dishwasher. It is easy to load, with an efficient spatial design that is also flexible. Setting the timer (from app on phone) for dishwasher to start at night when electricity is least expensive has saved us money (and made it so I don't have to stay up to start the dishwasher late). You can load dishes to fit tightly in and still everything gets clean. And plastic items don't get over-heated. It's great!

This unit replaced our 10th year old kitchen aid. The appliance salesperson said that Bosch is a true dishwasher where kitchen aid (and all that family) are more dish rinsers. They were right. Before we had to wash the dishes by hand then put them in the dishwasher. And they never came out dry. With this Bosch benchmark we scrape the food off, and they come out perfectly clean and dry. I was skeptical at first, but it's true. It's an excellent dishwasher.
